1. Controller

The controller responsible for data processing on this website within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:

BlockImagine
Owner: Michael Sieminski
c/o IP-Management #3642, Ludwig-Erhard-Str. 18
20459 Hamburg, Germany
Email: contact@blockimagine.com

No data protection officer has been appointed, as the legal requirements for doing so are not met.

2. Overview

We only process personal data to the extent necessary to operate this website or to provide the services you request. We use usage analytics (PostHog) only if you consent to it (see section 5) and no social media plugins. Without consent, the only cookies are technically necessary and contain no personal data (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG): lang remembers the language of the website (English or German) and analytics_consent remembers your analytics choice. Fonts and all other content are served from our own infrastructure; visiting this website does not transmit any data to third parties such as Google.

3. Hosting and delivery of the website

This website is delivered via the platform of Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA ("Cloudflare") (Cloudflare Workers, content delivery network and protection against attacks). When you access the website, Cloudflare processes technically necessary data, in particular your IP address, date and time of access, the page requested, the referrer and browser and operating system information. Cloudflare also tells us the country of your IP address; we use it only to show prices in your currency and do not store it.

This processing serves to deliver the website securely, reliably and quickly and to fend off abuse (e.g. DDoS attacks). The legal basis is our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Technical log data is stored only briefly for troubleshooting and then deleted automatically.

We have concluded a data processing agreement with Cloudflare pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. Cloudflare, Inc. is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; transfers to the USA are therefore based on the European Commission's adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR). In addition, Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR) have been agreed. More information: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy .

4. Contact by email

If you contact us by email, we process the information you provide (email address, name, content of the message) to handle your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your request relates to a contract or pre-contractual measures, and otherwise our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Emails to addresses at blockimagine.com are forwarded to our mailbox via Cloudflare Email Routing. We delete the data once your request has been fully handled, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

5. Usage analytics with PostHog

If you click "Accept" in the cookie notice, we use PostHog to understand how visitors use this website, for example which pages and sections they view and which buttons lead them to the app. PostHog then stores a random identifier as a cookie on blockimagine.com and in your browser's local storage and records page views, clicks, the page you came from, browser, device and approximate location derived from your IP address, as well as session recordings (text you type is masked). The same identifier is also used on app.blockimagine.com, so we can see whether a visit to this website led to using the app. Before you consent, PostHog's code is not loaded and no data is sent to PostHog.

The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG). The provider is PostHog, Inc., 2261 Market Street #4008, San Francisco, CA 94114, USA. The data is stored in PostHog's EU cloud (Frankfurt). Access from the USA cannot be ruled out; this is covered by a data processing agreement with the EU Commission's standard contractual clauses (Art. 46 GDPR). PostHog deletes session recordings after 30 days; we keep other analytics data as long as we use it to improve BlockImagine and delete it on request.

You can withdraw or give your consent at any time with effect for the future using the button below. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal.

6. SSL/TLS encryption

For security reasons, this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by "https://" in your browser's address bar.

7. Your rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • Rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • Erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • Withdrawal of consent with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR)

Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR): Where we process data on the basis of legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), you may object to this processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation.

To exercise your rights, simply send an email to contact@blockimagine.com.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is: Der Hamburgische Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit (Hamburg Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information), Ludwig-Erhard-Str. 22, 20459 Hamburg, Germany, datenschutz-hamburg.de.

8. Obligation to provide data and automated decision-making

Providing your data is voluntary. No automated decision-making, including profiling (Art. 22 GDPR), takes place.
